Sam was interviewed by Big Issue North as his film SKIN tours the UK in cinemas.

The music of Electronic Duo Underworld of international acclaim (Trainspotting, London 2012 Opening Ceremony) will form the soundtrack for the film 'yandass.mov'. 

New film 'yandass.mov' heads in production. The film is a collaboration between Yandass Ndlovu (dancer) and Sam Jones (director). 

Sam was recently commissioned by Channel 4 Random Acts one of their new 'major £10,000 commissions', one of only two available in the North of England. 

His film will be a collaboration with dancer Yandass Ndlovu, exploring how a dancer and a filmmaker can collaborate.

Lifeline has been nominated for the Best Short Film award at the British Urban Film Festival 2017. The winner will be announced at the awards ceremony in September 2017 at the BT Tower overlooking London.

BBC North West Tonight shot a feature about Sam on their programme.

Matt Lucas, actor and comedian, came across BFI funded short film Lifeline online and tweeted about the film.

"What an amazing achievement. Some people are just born to do it. Edgar Wright started at a similar age."
